Description
Before driving on to the bird station, which is located on the southernmost point of the island of Öland, a stop in Ottenby Lund Nature Reserve is worthwhile. Иволга is an annual visitor. Other birds you can encounter are Мухоловка-белошейка, Вертишейка, Скопа, Красный коршун, Обыкновенная кукушка, Желна, Большой пёстрый дятел, Малый пёстрый дятел and Обыкновенный осоед.

Access
There are 2 parking spaces, Södra and Norra Parking. The area is fine for exploring on foot. There is a very high bird watch tower. Of course there is a lot of birdlife to see in the forest, but also along the edge you have a lookout over a large wetland (in winter), a large dry plain in summer. Ideal for birds of prey such as Чеглок and Сапсан. The route shown on the map is about 5 km long.
