Description
The Lillfjärden lake is primarily known for its geese. Белощекая казарка, Серый гусь, and Канадская казарка all breed. The lake also holds the entire swedish non-breeding population of Пискулька. Other geese like Белолобый гусь, Гуменник, Короткоклювый гуменник can often be found. Some years Восточный тундровый гусь and Чёрная казарка are also found during migration periods.
The lakes rocky coast is also often home to waders like Щёголь, Травник, Малый зуёк (breeds), Кулик-сорока (breeds), and Турухтан. The lake holds large amounts of Кряква and smaller amounts of other dabbling ducks. Even species which are rare in northern areas like Серая утка, Широконоска and Чирок-трескунок. Smaller amounts of diving ducks can often be found. Wintering Свиристель and Щур are often found. Although the numbers vary widely.

Access
The lake lies directly north to the center of Hudiksvall. There are many places to park the car. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can make a circular walk around the lake (2,5 km).
