Description

Brannäs Våtmark is an area that contains several different ponds with varying amounts of vegetation enclosed by varying forest biotopes. In winter, there are still quite a few birds to see in the parts that don't freeze over. Бекас, Крапивник, Зарянка and Водяной пастушок are virtually there all year round. In the forest areas there are Малый пёстрый дятел and Воробьиный сычик and the other common woodpecker species. In the spring, birds that nest in the ponds arrive: Кряква, Лебедь-шипун, Чирок-свистунок, Серая утка and Водяной пастушок and in the reeds Тростниковая камышевка, Тростниковая овсянка and Камышевка-барсучок. During the autumn, flocks of ducks rest in the area.

Observations of the following rarities have been made over the years: Кобчик, Горная трясогузка, Мухоловка-белошейка, Обыкновенный ремез, Плачущая горлица, Соловьиный сверчок and Большая белая цапля.
