Description
The small Puebla campsite is situated on the Embalse de José Torán. This reservoir is located on the bird migration route to Tarifa. As spring progresses, a large part of the reservoir dries up, allowing you to make beautiful walks inside the reservoir. Especially during the autumn migration the (empty) reservoir is visited by hundreds of Галстучник and Малый зуёк, 3 species of Жёлтая трясогузка, countless Рыжепоясничная ласточка, as well as Скальная ласточка, Воронок, Береговушка and Деревенская ласточка. Удод can be seen in large numbers. Чернокрылый дымчатый коршун hunts every day, often with 2 or 3 individuals.
In spring and summer the campsite has breeding Обыкновенный жулан, Горихвостка-чернушка, Обыкновенная горихвостка, Мухоловка-пеструшка, Серая мухоловка, Средиземноморский сорокопут, Черногрудый воробей, 4 species of tits, Большой пёстрый дятел, Малый пёстрый дятел and Зелёный дятел. The Испанский могильник and Белоголовый сип breed in the vicinity of the campsite. Змееяд, Орёл-карлик and Скопа are also frequently seen, as are Чёрный коршун and Красный коршун.
Located between Seville and Cordoba, the small campsite is an excellent place to stay surrounded by nature. There are a huge variety of birds to spot on and around the campsite. If you stay for a few days, you can easily see 80 species of birds up close.
