Description
Les Basses d'en Coll is an important wetland reserve with 191 species seen. Winter wildfowl including Белоглазый нырок, Розовый фламинго, Султанка, Колпица and Водяной пастушок. Gulls including Средиземноморская чайка. Also Рыжая цапля, Дроздовидная камышевка, Горный конёк, Ястребиный орёл, Тетеревятник and Белоголовый сип. Средиземноморский буревестник (подвид diomedea) and Обыкновенный буревестник offshore. In the fields and trees Южный соловей, Сизоворонка, Хохлатый жаворонок and Волнистый астрильд.

Access
Reserve is a 8 km walk south from Estartit along the beach. By car it's 19 km. From the main road between Palafrugell to Torroella, head east at Mas Carles and look for viewing platform. There are campsites north and south. The beach gets busy so summer visits are not recommended. No buses nearby.
