Description

The Coterillo pond is the only pond in the wetland that is not used for salt production. Its purpose is the conservation of the wildlife that lives there. With luck, you might spot birds such as Малая белая цапля, Шилоклювка, Розовый фламинго, Чернозобик, Большой улит, Морской зуёк, Пеганка and Ходулочник, among other species.

Access

Following the road that leads to the port of San Pedro and passes through the salt flats of San Pedro de Pinatar, you'll find an information point and free parking very close to the port entrance. The best way to visit the lagoon is on foot, following a path that starts from the information point and runs parallel to the road leading to the port of San Pedro.

The Coterillo lagoon is located in the Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar natural area, which allows you to extend your visit by exploring the salt ponds and the beach of the Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar Regional Park.

Español: Siguiendo la carretera que lleva al puerto de San Pedro y que atraviesa Las Salinas de San Pedro de Pinatar. Muy cerca de la entrada al puerto hay un punto de información y un parquing gratuito junto a la carretera. La mejor forma de visitar la laguna es caminando, siguiendo un sendero que parte del punto de información paralelo a la carretera que lleva al puerto de San Pedro.

La laguna del Coterillo se encuentra en el espacio natural Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar lo que permite ampliar la visita recorriendo las charcas salineras y la playa del Parque Regional Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar.
