Description

Jarkovac Lake, also known as Ljukovsko Lake, is a medium sized artificial lake made by building a dam on the Fruška Gora stream Ljukov in 1976. It is 2 km long and 300m wide, with a maximum depth of 10m. Jarkovac Lake is a good year-round birding spot. The most productive is the north part of the lake, downhill from the Earl Pejačević villa. Лебедь-шипун, Кряква, Серая цапля, Большая белая цапля, Чомга, Лысуха, Камышница, Ходулочник, and Большой улит are quite common here. Чернозобая гагара has also been recorded in winter.
