Description
Varsolt Reservoir (Romanian: Lacul de acumulare Vârşolţ) is the largest lake in Sălaj County. Many waterfowl call this place home and many raptors are attracted by the great availability of food. And of course also many singing birds are always present. Among the birds you can see here are Болотный лунь, Орлан-белохвост, Кваква, Каравайка, Иволга, Золотистая щурка, Удод, Обыкновенный жулан, Обыкновенный ремез, Усатая синица and Дроздовидная камышевка. See the extended birdlist below.

Access
Take the way from Crasna toward Zalau. When you are in the lake's area either
-you can enter by car (paved route, but not asphalt, 200-300m) to a peninsula offering parking spots close to the shore from where you can stroll the region (here you have an option to make a circular route on foot).
-or you can go further and park the car at the SE corner of the lake, on the road side and continue by foot (200m to the shore) and stroll another area not connected to the first option.
