Description

In the middle of the crowded city of Bucharest you will find the Dimitrie Brandza Botanical Garden. A green oasis of approximately 18 hectares with many old trees, a small lake, spontaneous flora and a botanical museum. Many species of birds can be seen in this place throughout the year. There are secluded areas where some species nest. Many species of flowers are planted and cared for by specialists and therefore you can also see a lot of insects. Small mammals like squirrels and marmots can be seen often. Among the birds you can encounter are Сирийский дятел, Обыкновенный фазан, Лысуха, Кряква, Черный дрозд, Серая цапля, Зелёный дятел, Обыкновенная горлица and Малый баклан.

Spring is the best time for photography. You can see birds, nests and chicks. Morning hours are the best, especially during weekdays.
