Description
During the spring many waterbirds breed in the Ruda Fishponds Grebes such as Малая поганка, Чомга and Серощекая поганка. During migration many ducks can be seen, most interesting: Шилохвость, Широконоска, Серая утка, Чирок-трескунок and Чирок-свистунок, and sometimes others. Обыкновенный зимородок can be seen every time on the river flowing through the complex. In the reeds you can hear and see Усатая синица, Дроздовидная камышевка, Обыкновенный ремез, Тростниковая камышевка and various other species of warblers. In the sky raptors such as Орлан-белохвост, Канюк, Перепелятник and Тетеревятник. Various songbird species live in the nearby forest as well. During the migration plenty of shorebirds stop by. Большой улит, Фифи, Бекас, Турухтан, Черныш and Перевозчик being the most common ones.

Access
One small parking spot behind the bridge on the river. Click on the P in the map for directions. Don't wander of the paths as it's a privately owned area. The area can only be visited on foot. The circular route indicated on the map is about 5 km.
