Big old park in Warsaw with amazing birds inside. A lot of woodpeckers, tit's and other songbirds nest here. Мандаринка are common.
Łazienki Park is spacious and full of life. Best to visit in the morning when people are not there yet. Note that it's open from 6 am. Two pairs of Серая неясыть can be heard at night. If you ask a local birder they will be happy to show you where they spend their day. Мандаринка, Большой крохаль and Кряква nest in the park. A pair of Ворон breed here every year as well.
The park is known for the many woodpecker species that can be seen here. It's difficult not to see Зелёный дятел, Большой пёстрый дятел and Средний пёстрый дятел on your visit. If you have a bit more luck you might see Малый пёстрый дятел, Желна or a Сирийский дятел. Various songbirds breed here, Обыкновенный поползень is very common. In May and June you might spot a Мухоловка-пеструшка or Серая мухоловка in the part of the park where horses used to be held.
Easy accessible from Warsaw. Free access. Difficult to find a parking spot sometimes. The best spot is probably near Belvedere restaurant. Park is open from 6am to 10pm. Best to explore the park on foot and take your time. The walking route shown on the map is about 4 km.
