Description
You can explore the entire Veines peninsula and also the platform over the sea where several bird species can be observed, including Чистик, Большой баклан, Хохлатый баклан, Речная крачка, Полярная крачка and gulls. Some shore birds as Галстучник or Морской песочник can be observed all summer, and Кулик-сорока may nest on the beach during summer there. Inland you can spot Золотистая ржанка, Турухтан, Болотная сова, Орлан-белохвост and Зимняк.
Water birds as Обыкновенная гага and Длинноносый крохаль and also a diversity of small birds as Варакушка, Пуночка, Обыкновенная зеленушка, Пухляк, Обыкновенная чечётка and Белая трясогузка contribute to the very interesting diversity. In fact all parts of the peninsula are good for birding.

Access
By the main road you acces Veines and you park the car at the begining of the walking trail. Click on the P in the map for directions. You can walk all over the peninsula on the left when you start walking. At some point of the walk up in the mountain you will find an observatory. It is also possible from the end of the peninsula (lighthouse) to spot whales during migration.
