The Vondelpark is an oasis with many birds in the middle of the city. You can see common birds like Серая цапля, Кряква, Лысуха, Лебедь-шипун and Большая синица. But there are also more surprising species such as Перепелятник, Белый аист, Большой пёстрый дятел and Тростниковая камышевка. The Индийский кольчатый попугай can also often be seen in the park.

The park is located in the middle of the city of Amsterdam and is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle or by public transport. From Amsterdam Central Station, tram line 2 runs along the Vondelpark.
