This old forest is a good place for forest birds and is located in the middle of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park.
The Kaapse Bossen are located near the town of Doorn. It is a forest area of 425 hectares with wide beech lanes and winding forest paths. The dense and extensive forest houses various interesting forest birds. Желна, Чиж, Клёст-еловик, Хохлатая синица, Ворон, Снегирь and Перепелятник are regularly seen. At night you hear the Серая неясыть calling. De Kaap lookout tower, over 25 meters high, offers a beautiful view of the area.

Nederlands: De Kaapse Bossen liggen bij Doorn, midden in het Nationaal Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Het is een glooiend bosgebied van 425 hectare met brede beukenlanen, slingerende bospaadjes, boswallen en eikenhakhout. De dichte en uitgestrekte bebossing brengt diverse leuke bosvogels met zich mee. Желна, Чиж, Клёст-еловик, Хохлатая синица, Ворон, Снегирь en Перепелятник laten zich met regelmaat zien. 's Nachts hoor je de Серая неясыть roepen. Uitkijktoren De Kaap van ruim 25 meter hoog biedt een prachtig zicht over het gebied.
