Description

Vestmannaeyjar (or Westman Islands) is an archipelago off the south coast of Iceland. The Westman Islands are home to approximately 2.5 million breeding pairs of seabirds. Among these, nearly half are Тупик. More than 30 other species of birds nest in the cliffs and grassy ledges. The largest island, Heimaey, is a great place for watching seabirds and easy accessible, also by car. From the parking lot you can walk to the cliffs with breeding birds such as Тонкоклювая кайра, Северная олуша, Тупик, Моевка and Глупыш and look out over the sea. Also a chance of orca, seals and various other birds such as Обыкновенная гага, Бургомистр, Кулик-сорока, Чистик, Средний кроншнеп, Галстучник, Белая трясогузка and Луговой конёк.
