Description

The small Rif wetland is located in the area of Melrakkaslétta on the Snaefellsnes peninsula in northwest Iceland. It is a breeding area for many birds and has an ideal location between the coast and the mountains. Among the birds you can encounter are Краснозобая гагара, Красношейная поганка, Обыкновенная гага, Круглоносый плавунчик, Длинноносый крохаль, Чёрная казарка, Лебедь-кликун, Полярная крачка, Галстучник, Большой веретенник, Травник, Короткохвостый поморник, Полярная чайка and Бургомистр.

Rif wetland is located at the end of the Snaefellsnes peninsula in northwest Iceland. You can park at the bird hide. Click on the P in the map for directions.
