Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like Морянка, Хохлатый баклан, Северная олуша, Люрик, Каменушка and Длинноносый крохаль. You might also see Краснозобая гагара and Черноклювая гагара. Örfirsey has also hosted a male Горбоносый турпан every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant. Overhead, Пуночка might pass, and along the rocks there might be Чистик.
