Description

Grand Étang de Basse Terre is the largest pond in the Basse-Terre massif, in the heart of the rainforest. It is located on the road to the Carbet Falls. A trail allows you to walk around it, and a bird hide is located on the pond. Good chances to observe Osprey.

Français: Étang situé au coeur de la forêt tropicale, un sentier de randonnée permet de faire le tour. Étang le plus vaste du massif de la Basse-Terre, au coeur de la forêt tropicale, il est situé sur la route des chutes du carbet. Un sentier permet d'en faire le tour, un observatoire est situé sur l'étang. On peuy observer des Osprey.

Access

Grand Étang de Basse Terre is located in the south of Guadeloupe. A small parking area is accessible just before the pond. Located on the road leading to the Carbet waterfall. Press P on the map for directions to the parking area. The trail around the pond is about 2 km.

Français: Un petit parking est accessible juste avant l'étang. Situé sur la route qui mène au chute du carbet. Appuyez sur P sur la carte pour obtenir l'itinéraire jusqu'au parking. Le sentier qui fait le tour de l'étang fait environ 2 km.
