Description
The Molivos viewpoint is located on the hills just northeast of Molivos, and provides a perfect view for migrating birds in autumn. During this time of year, migrants, like raptors and storks, tend to travel from Turkey to Lesvos flying fairly low over the strait. Once they reached Lesvos, they tend to use the warmer air to gain height and cross the island. Common species that can be seen here are buzzards (Steppe Buzzard, Курганник), harriers (Болотный лунь, Луговой лунь and Степной лунь), Чёрный коршун, Скопа, Перепелятник, Тетеревятник, and storks (Чёрный аист, Белый аист). Flocks of swallows, martins, Золотистая щурка, and swifts can be seen here too.
Over the strait, large flocks of Левантский буревестник can be seen. Sometimes Средиземноморский буревестник (подвид diomedea) can be spotted within these flocks. Also keep an eye out for dolphins.
The surrounded hills are good for species like Испанская каменка and Черноголовая овсянка.

Access
The viewpoint itself is somewhat of a climb. There's not really a track going to the top, but you can reach it fairly easily from the northside of the hill. Still, if you're not in the mood/able to climb this part, there are multiple spots you can stand to observe the strait.
