Description
The salt marshes and the sandbank at Westerheversand represent very diverse habitats. Many waders such as the Чернозобик, Кулик-сорока, Травник can be observed. On the sandbank, a particularly large number of gulls and other resting birds can be seen. Notable are the Малый веретенник, Галстучник, Морской зуёк, Пестроносая крачка, Малая крачка, Исландский песочник, Орлан-белохвост and others.
The warft with lighthouse is a fixed point for migratory birds during migration, so that some songbirds can also be observed here.
