Description
There are several ponds here where many waterfowl can be seen, including Серая утка, Свиязь, Чирок-свистунок, Широконоска, Красноголовый нырок, Гоголь and several others. During autumn migration several different geese can be found here, and sometimes Серый журавль as well. Серощекая поганка, Чомга, and Малая поганка can often be seen here, and there is a tree in the Inselteich where Большой баклан and Серая цапля can often be seen sunning themselves. There are four observation towers which provide a clearer view over the lakes.

Access
There is parking on the west side along Bucher Strasse. Click on the P in the map for directions.
This area is easily accessable by bike from the city, and by bike or foot from S Bahn station Karow on the S2 line.
