Jröne Meerke (little green sea) is a small park with a pond at the north-western edge of the city of Neuss. It contains the only Western European colony of Белый гусь. Depending on the season there are also numerous other waterfowl, such as Хохлатая чернеть, Кряква, Серая утка, Малая поганка, Большой баклан, Камышница or Лысуха. There are many trees and a small forest in the park that host numerous songbirds, including Певчий дрозд, Деряба, Обыкновенный поползень, Зяблик, Черноголовый щегол, Обыкновенная зеленушка, Зарянка, Лазоревка, Большая синица and many more. If you want to see the Белый гусь, you should come in the early morning or before sunset as the geese often go out to the surrounding fields for feeding.
There is a nearby car park. Click on the P in the map to get directions. Easily accessable park paths lead to and around the pond.
