Description
Böhmerweiher consists of two lakes. The smaller lake supports Малая поганка, Камышница and Лысуха. Чирок-свистунок overwinter here. The larger lake often attracts visiting waterfowl in the winter: Серый гусь, Серая утка, Чомга, more rarely Свиязь, Пеганка or Большой крохаль. Обыкновенный зимородок fish in both ponds.
In the gravel areas and streams surrounding the lakes Обыкновенная овсянка and Пеночка-весничка sing from the bushes. Зелёный дятел feed on the ants. Водяной пастушок skulks on the banks. Тростниковая камышевка and Тростниковая овсянка populate the reeds in the spring and summer. Occasional visitors like the Удод can surprise you by stopping to rest during their migration.
Бекас sometimes forage in the wet fields surrounding Böhmerweiher. And sometimes Сапсан hunt for prey.
