Description

These former sewage ponds have become an important breeding ground and resting place for waterbirds and waders. The pond area of almost 30 hectares is of great importance for migrating birds from Northern Europe and Russia, which find resting places and food on their way to the southern winter quarters and back. Sometimes you can see more than 500 ducks on the ponds. But also herons, grebes, waders and other waterbirds.
