The 1,500 hectare wilderness area of Anklamer Stadtbruch is home to numerous nice species such as Орлан-белохвост, Серый журавль, Обыкновенная чечевица, Белощекая крачка, Речной сверчок and Большая выпь. In summer you can still find large numbers of Серый журавль. Also all kinds of raptors are common like Красный коршун, Скопа, Чёрный коршун, Болотный лунь and Чеглок.
