Abtskücher Teich is a lake with surrounding bushes. The pond and stream provide a good environment for various waterfowl and water-loving birds. You can see Обыкновенный зимородок, Большой баклан, Серая цапля, Лебедь-шипун, Большой пёстрый дятел, Кряква and Лысуха. Also Nutrias live here. In the surrounding fields, you can also see Красноголовый королёк, Желтоголовый королёк, Домовый воробей, Тетеревятник and Канюк.

The Abtskücher Teich is located 3 km west of the town of Velbert. Parking lots are nearby. Press P on the map for directions to a parking. There is a footpath around the pond (about 1 km).
