The area includes the Chevalier Park, comprising a wooded area with several fishing ponds where one can observe Обыкновенный зимородок , Большой баклан , Большой пёстрый дятел , Зелёный дятел , other forest species, and numerous squirrels. The Hervin Meadow is a natural area with a body of water that is home to Серая утка , Лебедь-шипун , Серая цапля and Большая белая цапля, surrounded by reeds, cattle pasture, and a wetland for horses where the Домовый сыч is present. The Athies Marsh offers a body of water and reedbed suitable for Канюк , Перепелятник , Сойка and Водяной пастушок.

Parc du Chevalier, Prairies d'Hervin and Marais d'Athies are located northeast of Arras. Parking is available near the retirement home or between the Parc du Chevalier and the Prairies d'Hervin. Another parking area with a picnic table is located near the Marais d'Athies. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking. The walking route shown on the map is about 5 km in length.
