Le Champ Virlois is interesting for several reedbed species, including Варакушка, Дроздовидная камышевка, Камышевка-барсучок, Волчок, Водяной пастушок and Болотный лунь. Обыкновенный ремез has been spotted in stopover and crakes are possible.
In the surrounding forests Снегирь, Чеглок, Пеночка-весничка and Чёрный коршун are quite easy to see. Авдотка and Гоголь can be found at the surrounding gravel pits.
