Étang Turlet is located at the southern exit of the town of Villars-les-Dombes. The lake has mainly open shallow water with some scarce reedbeds and wet woodlands. On the northern bank of the lake is a bird hide. Among the bird you can observe are Серая утка, Свиязь, Шилохвость, Красноносый нырок, Хохлатая чернеть, Красноголовый нырок, Чирок-свистунок, Чирок-трескунок, Лебедь-шипун, Рыжая цапля, Белый аист, Болотный лунь, Белощекая крачка, Чомга, Малая поганка and Черношейная поганка.

Étang Turlet is located south of the town of Villars-les-Dombes. You can park along the road close to the lake. Click on the P in the map for directions. From parking spot it is just a 100 m walk to the bird hide.
