Étang de Saclay is a small lake nearby a military training camp. Rare birds can show up here during migration.
The Étang de Saclay area is well known amongst local ornithologists. It is one of the best parisian birding spots. During the migration seasons, you may be able to see Красноносый нырок, Красноголовый нырок, Хохлатая чернеть, Бекас and Малая поганка. Some rarities show up every now and then, like Морская чернеть, Волчок and Колпица. In the forest, the raptors nest. You can see them flying above the lake: Пустельга обыкновенная, Чеглок, Сапсан and, in summer Скопа.

You can park on the bridge and observe the birds from there. With the autorisation of the military training camp and the city hall you may have access to the observatory, open on sunday.
