Description
Mannakoski lintutorni is a small bird observation tower beside the Muonionjoki river. You see open riverbanks, marshy pools and wooded areas with dwarf birch. A small but rewarding stop, especially in May–June, when migrating birds move along the river. It is a good place to observe Турухтан. Other birds you can see include Гоголь, Чирок-свистунок, Перевозчик, Фифи, Бекас and Жёлтая трясогузка.

Access
The Mannakoski observation tower is located on route 21 between the villages of Kaaresuvanto and Markkina. Press P on the map for directions to the parking spot. From there a 100m boardwalk is leading across the wet ground to the tower.
