Description

Strødam Engsø is a restored wetland and wet meadow area. It’s part of the larger Kongernes Nordsjælland National Park. Originally drained for agriculture, the area was re-flooded as part of a major restoration project. The result is a mosaic of reed beds, open water, and wet meadows that now support over 200 recorded bird species, including Орлан-белохвост, Скопа, Болотный лунь, Полевой лунь, Красный коршун, Бекас, Пеганка, Серая утка, Малая поганка, Обыкновенная кукушка, Кулик-сорока, Чибис, Обыкновенный соловей and Тростниковая овсянка. The site is especially interesting during migration seasons, when flocks of geese and shorebirds pass through.
