Description

Frøslev Forest is close to the Danish-German border and contains a landscape with dense coniferous forest, heathland and shifting sand. Frøslev Plantage is a good place to spot lots of smaller songbirds but also birds of prey like Тетеревятник, Перепелятник, Канюк and Пустельга обыкновенная. Also Желна, Обыкновенный козодой, Вертишейка, Серая неясыть and Ворон. A characteristic bird is Черноголовый чекан, which has some of its most important Danish breeding grounds here. Frøslev is often visited by birdwatchers because many small birds have their northern distribution boundary here. The place is also known for several pairs of breeding Серый журавль.
