Bulbjerg is the only bird cliff on the danish mainland and, apart from Helgoland, the only breeding-place of Моевка in Central Europe.
Bulbjerg is a limestone cliff in the north of Jutland. Since 1987, there have been observations and breeding attempts of Глупыш, of which 2 breeding pairs had the first successfull breeding in 2000.
From the cliff you can observe duckspecies as Обыкновенная гага. From the cliff can be seen flocks of Синьга which feed on mussels and snails, which they dive down and pick up from the seabed. In summer mostly males and young birds can be seen at Bjulberg where they moult their feathers.
Other birds that can be seen from the cliff are Моевка, Краснозобая гагара, Чернозобая гагара, Северная олуша, Гагарка, Тонкоклювая кайра, Обыкновенный буревестник, Серый буревестник, Прямохвостая качурка, Северная качурка and the different kinds of skua, such as Короткохвостый поморник. Also Береговушка can be seen here.
During spring migration, there are good opportunities to see birds of prey, especially on days with easterly winds. Birds you can expect are Канюк, Зимняк, Красный коршун, Скопа, Дербник and in the best case, Орлан-белохвост and Беркут.
On the remains of Skarreklit - a 16 meter high limestone cliff which was ruined during a storm in 1978 - can be seen Большой баклан, the species which gave this rock its name.
