Description
Aarslev Engsø used to be a drained area and was re-established in 2003 by directing the water from the two rivers Aarhus Å and Lyngbygård Å over its meadows. The lake itself now covers an area of 100 hectares and is surrounded by meadows and reedbeds. Among the birds you can encounter are Орлан-белохвост, Скопа, Сапсан, Большая белая цапля, Варакушка, Усатая синица, Серая утка and Чирок-трескунок. Aarslev Engsø also attracts many uncommon birds that turn up regularly, for example Малая чайка, Черноголовая чайка, Чёрная крачка, Чеграва, Погоныш, Грязовик, Круглоносый плавунчик and Дроздовидная камышевка.
