Description

The Dragoman Marsh is unique in Bulgaria. The complex consists of limestone hills, with the depressions between them boasting biodiverse wetlands. It was declared a Ramsar site in 2011. The surrounding grasslands also contain many endemic and rare species. Among the birds you can see here are Большая выпь , Скопа , Рыжая цапля , Змееяд , Курганник , Ворон , Дроздовидная камышевка , Белый аист.

Access

Parking is possible on the 8103. See the P on the map. The most easily accessible to the general public area is relatively small: only several hundred meters of wooden bridges serpent their way through the marsh. There is a small wooden watchtower.
