Description
Sablière de Chatillon is a large sand pit with a wetland in the middle of it. The area is surrounded by forest and there is also an area of bushes and shrubs. Among the birds you can encounter are Вертишейка, Обыкновенный осоед, Береговушка, Многоголосая камышевка, Лесной жаворонок, Обыкновенный жулан, Белая трясогузка, Обыкновенная горихвостка, Серая славка, Пеночка-весничка, Чеглок and Золотистая щурка.

Access
Sablière de Chatillon is located 12 km southwest of the town of Arlon and just north of the village of Chatillon. You can park in front of the barrier which closes access to the sandpit. Press P on the map for directions. From the parking spot you can explore the area on foot. The circular route shown on the map is about 2 km.
