Description
The Handzame Broeken area consists of a extensive agricultural area, being mainly pastures, with scattered trees, bushes and willow tree lanes. The Kreekebeek river flows through the area and is a great spot for waterfowl, like Чирок-свистунок, Свиязь and Широконоска. The surrounding pastures are good for flocks of Чибис. In winter, these pastures are part of the hunting grounds for Полевой лунь. In winter, area is also good for Лебедь-кликун.
The scattered (willow) trees are great for observing Домовый сыч and Клинтух. The scattered bushes and fences are a great spot for breeding species, like Черноголовый чекан and Луговой чекан.
