Description
The Buggenhoutbos is the habitat of various forest species that can be found here all year round, such as Средний пёстрый дятел, Сойка, Обыкновенный поползень and Серая неясыть. The grazed meadow is the ideal habitat for Черноголовый чекан, Серая славка, Пустельга обыкновенная and Коноплянка. During the migration periods, interesting species can be seen, such as Зелёная пересмешка, Обыкновенный жулан, Каменка and various birds of prey such as Болотный лунь. Various species such as Серая куропатка, Перепел, Чибис and Полевой жаворонок feel at home in the surrounding agricultural plots.

Nederlands: Het Buggenhoutbos is een combinatie van eeuwenoud loofbos met jonge percelen bos. Grenzend aan het bos is een open weide die wordt begraasd door runderen. Het oude loofbos is het geliefde habitat van verschillende bossoorten die hier het jaar rond te vinden zijn zoals Средний пёстрый дятел, Сойка, Обыкновенный поползень en Серая неясыть.
De begraasde weide is het ideale habitat voor Черноголовый чекан, Серая славка, Пустельга обыкновенная en Коноплянка. Tijdens de trekperiodes kunnen interessante soorten gezien worden zoals Зелёная пересмешка, Обыкновенный жулан, Каменка en verschillende roofvogels zoals de Болотный лунь. Access
The Buggenhoutbos is located south of the village of Buggenhout. You can park at the official Buggenhoutbos car park. Press P on the map for directions to the car park. The area can only be explored on foot or by bike. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 4 km.
