Description
Only 15 km from Innsbruck, the Inzinger Gaisau is one of the last floodplains in the Inn Valley. It has ponds, woodlands, agricultural fields, wet meadows, reedbeds and borders the shores of the river Inn. This makes Inzinger Gaisau rich in habitats and therefore rich in birds.
Birds you can see here are Рябинник, Пеночка-весничка, Большой крохаль, Обыкновенный зимородок, Черныш, Зелёная пересмешка Славка-черноголовка, Малый пёстрый дятел and both Обыкновенная пищуха and Короткопалая пищуха and many species of tits. In winter sometimes you can encounter large flocks of Черноголовый щегол, Чиж, and in late winter Юрок.
On the northern waters edge you have a good view on meadows and reedbeds. You can find Луговой чекан here and with some luck Чёрный коршун. On the pond you can see Малая поганка and different kinds of ducks. Around the reedbeds check for Водяной пастушок, Тростниковая овсянка, Тростниковая камышевка, Дроздовидная камышевка and Камышевка-барсучок.
