The Bienenfresser Themenweg (Золотистая щурка-trail) near Haslau is located in the middle of the National Park Donau-Auen. There is a loop road through the forest with many stations with different topics, but some highlights along the way are for example an observation tower and a breeding-wall for Золотистая щурка. Other possible species to observe are Орлан-белохвост, Седой дятел, Обыкновенный осоед and Иволга.

The best place to park the car is in the eastern part of the town of Haslau. Click on the P in the map for directions. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 3 km. For more information about the whole way/area see the link below to the website of the national park.
