Description

A small island provides space for breeding colonies of cormorants and spoonbills. Dusky moorhens are seen commonly and plenty of duck species transit through.

Access

Nearby bus 140 drops off at Queechy Park, Penquite Road. The walk to the park is only about 100m from there.

There's a small carpark right at the lake. Press P on the map for directions.

There is not much of a walk, but a small viewing platform is present. Time to allow would depend on the time of year, how long you enjoy scanning a wetland, and how much you like observing antics of nesting birds through binoculars.
