Description

Morley Beach is an important site for local and trans-equatorial migratory shorebirds. It is located on the eastern shores of Wilson Inlet. Large flocks of Red-necked Avocet are often found as are good numbers of Red-necked Stint in summer. Good numbers of Black Swan and other waterfowl are to be seen on the inlet itself.

Access

East of Denmark, turn-off South Coast Hwy on to Morley Rd, drive slowly past the farm to inlet. Park near the access point to the beach (clay) and walk taking care to help protect the vegetation and shoreline in this proposed conservation reserve. The beach can also be accessed by four wheel drive but drivers need to ensure that vehicles stick to the informal wheelpad.
