Description
Located in the heart of the Somerset Levels and Moors, Greylake is a flat wetland with good paths and reedbed. Thanks to all the water, you can see Nagâț, Fluierar cu picioare roșii and Becațină comună nesting in the spring. Smaller birds such as Lăcar mic, Codobatură galbenă and Presură de stuf can be heard and seen singing from the trails.
Over winter, vast flocks of ducks and waders, being hunted by birds of prey. Nagâț and Ploier auriu are sometimes joined by Fugaci de țărm, Bătăuș and Sitar de mal. Large flocks of Rață fluierătoare, Rață mică and smaller groups of Rață lingurar, Rață pestriță and Rață sulițar feed in front of the hides. Șoim călător and Erete de stuf are seen regularly and Șoim de iarnă and Erete vânăt occasionally.

Access
There is a free car park off A361 (Ashcott to Taunton road) well signposted just before entrance. There is a boardwalk which meanders from the car park to the hide and provides disabled access. Said to be wheelchair friendly but never tried.
