Description

North Cliffe is a mosaic of habitats, woodlands mainly of ash and birch which dominate the site. With both wet and dry areas of woodland being home to an array of woodland species, including Ciocănitoare pestriță mare, Pițigoi sur, and Cojoaică de pădure. In the centre of the site there is a small area of lowland heath. In recent years this has been colonised by a population of Ciocârlie de pădure whose call adds to the chorus of Silvie de zăvoi, Pitulice mică, and Pitulice fluierătoare present in spring and summer.
