Description
This is a favourite place with birders in Scotland. In Spring and early Summer there are Cufundar polar on the loch and Uligan pescar fish here. In the surrounding area there are both Ieruncă scoțiană and Mărăcinar negru, assorted raptors, and Pescăruș sur breed here in summer. You may also see Culic mare and Nagâț. There are some Mountain Hare present in Winter.

Access by Car or Bike. Easy to find from Carrbridge / Grantown on Spey / Inverness. For parking there are several pull-ins off the road. Do not block passing places or entrances.
Park the car, and there are tracks that can can be followed on foot, but no circular route.
