Description

Llandegla Forest is one of the few places in Wales to see Cocoș de mesteacăn lekking. The RSPB have a hide and as of 2022, guided walks, see their website. Among the other birds you can observe in the area are Caprimulg, Ieruncă scoțiană, Fâsă de luncă, Ciuf de câmp, Șoim de iarnă, Mărăcinar negru, Mărăcinar mare, Cuc, Sturz cântător, Ghionoaie verde, Șorecar comun, Gaie roșie, Erete vânăt and Pietrar sur.

Access

8 miles west of Wrexham on the Ruthin road. Click on the P in the map for directions. Bus X51 runs hourly, Mon to Sat and 2-hourly Sundays from either town. Nearest train station, Wrexham.
