Description

Holt Heath is one of Dorset’s remaining areas of lowland heathland. The area has a good population of Silvie de tufiș. The heath also has breeding Culic mare, Caprimulg and Mărăcinar negru. All six of Britain’s reptile species are found here.

Access

Park in West Moors and pick up the Castleman trailway next to the memorial hall. Pass the playing fields and continue until you reach the heath. Click on the P in the map to get directions. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 9 km long.
