Description

Coombe Abbey Park is a country park located 7.5 km east of Coventry city centre. The park has been developed from the grounds of an old Cistercian abbey, the buildings of which have been converted into the Coombe Abbey hotel. The park now contains 202 hectares (500 acres) of woodlands, formal gardens, arboretum, open grasslands and lake. It has a visitor centre equipped with a cafe. It also has a bird hide and summer wild flower meadow. Among the birds you can encounter are Egretă mică, Stârc cenușiu, Ghionoaie verde, Corcodel mic, Corcodel mare, Rață cu cap castaniu, Rață moțată, Aușel cu cap galben, Țiclean and Pițigoi de brădet.

Coombe Abbey Park is located 7.5 km east of Coventry. By road: On the B4027. By bus: No-585 National Express Coventry. By cycle and foot: The Centenary Way public footpath runs from Coventry through Coombe Abbey Park. Entry to the park on foot is free. Car park charges apply. Click on the P in the map for directions to the car park. Coombe Abbey Park is open daily between 10am and 4pm.
