Species such as Inăriță mică, Mugurar roșu, Lăcar de mlaștină, Silvie de zăvoi, Cocoșar, Muscar sur or Capîntortură can be observed in the floodplain forest . On the gravel banks along the Reuss there are Fluierar de munte, Pescărel negru and Codobatură de munte. The following species can be observed in the pastures and meadows: Fâsă de munte, Fâsă de pădure, Pietrar sur, Șerpar, Viespar, Mărăcinar mare, White-faced Whistling Duck, Sfrâncioc roșiatic.

The floodplain area is located between the villages of Hospental and Realp. You can explore the area on foot. A circular walk around the area is about 3 km.
